Your processor shouldn't reach 90c with your AIO Liquid CPU Cooler. Something is making your processor run at almost to the point overheating. My 5800X idles around 31-32C depending on ambient. RGB tools, iCUE, and other vendor software is notorious for keeping cores awake. They are running from 40C to 55C. If I'm doing nothing, and load is 0% on all cores, temperature drops to 40C. But if I use Chrome and Discord at the moment, they ramp up to 55C. not without modding it. i am looking at this option. basically the studs are too short and welded in place. so they would have to be drilled out, replaced with longer ones and rewelded. not sure how to go about htis, and if it is cheaper at that point to buy a 3rd cooler and get one with backplate that isnt 53mm this time. diptenkrom • 2 yr. agoRyzen 7000 series is also similar to traditional CPUs. 5-10W idle state per CCD. With 2 CCDs enabled on 5900X, idle package power is about 35-40W, and with 1 disabled (half CCD mode), idle package power is about 25-30W. For Ryzen 5 3500 (1CCD) it's around 25-30W.
